Public speakers are available for presentations about Kalpana Chawla's career. The presentation format includes:

  • Introductory talk covering Kalpana's career, about 10 minutes in length.
     
  • Viewing of Kalpana Chawla Career video produced by Johnson Space Center, also 10 minutes in length.
     
  • Answers to audience questions for as long as desired.
     
  • Presentation of Montsu Foundation memorabilia to sponsor.

A complete presentation typically runs for 45 – 60 minutes, though can be modified as necessary.

Over 50 presentations about Kalpana's career have been made in India by Jean-Pierre Harrison, Anjali Chawla, STS-87 crew members, and STS-107 crew family members. Several thousand high-school and university students attended these presentations in the Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai areas in 2003 and 2004. These presentations inspire with Kalpana's example the next generation of scientists, engineers, doctors and explorers. In November 2003, 40 copies of 42 sets of DVDs and CDs covering Kalpana's NASA career from 1995 to 2003 were presented to institutions in India as part of the presentations. No charge is assessed to any educational institution for any expenses associated with such presentations.

Public speakers are available for fund-raising events, professional meetings, and other non-educational activities. Public speaking engagements are accepted for any location in the world, subject to scheduling, at the following rates:

  • $10,000 US speaking fee.
     
  • Travel expenses.
     
  • Lodging expenses.
     
  • $400 US per diem commencing 36 hours after departure of the speaker from their home base.

All fees associated with public speaking are used to further Montsu, Inc.'s goals: education and the environment.
